SOUNDSCAPE SATURDAY - WOMEN AND NONBINARY EVENT

July 26, 2025

The Green Gathering has been a signatory to Key Change for many years. This is a pledge to work towards representation of 50% women and underrepresented genders in programming. This year, of the acts performing on stage 58% are female or non-binary led.

This year, we are pushing the boundaries further by hosting an All Female and Non-Binary Fronted day on the Soundscape stage on Saturday. A celebration of diversity, music and attitude.

All the acts that perform will be led by female or non-binary musicians. And where possible will be more than 50% women or non-binary performers, and will be supported by women and non-binary hosts and sound engineers. Other areas will join in, with a female fronted bar and other supporting crews.

Our hosts for the day are Mackenzie Steed, Bassie Gracie, Clare Ferguson-Walker and Great Aunt Tranni.

The day presents a true musical diversity. We kick things off with Suthering an evocative & distinctive, queer folk duo with sublime vocal harmonies & hard-hitting songs for our times. From there to Maya Love, a long term member of the Green Gathering community, with life-affirming songs & chants for re-wilding the soul.

Then we kick up the attitude with I, Doris the Loud Women house band. The Mummycore kitchenpunks replete with aprons, "The Shangri-Las on snakebite”.

After the madness we calm things down a bit with Sound of The Sirens an acclaimed, award winning duo full of blissful harmonies. Then it’s time to kick up the volume and charge through the wild, anarchic, psychedelic surf-punk of Maz and The Phantasms. And with no respite we sling ourselves headlong into The Menstrual Cramps the DIY queer punk band from Bristol. Known for their feminist, anti-fascist & pro-choice stance. Our headliner for the day needs no introduction to the Green Gathering crowd. Martha Tilston and her band bring beautifully crafted, sharp, original songs full of meaning and emotions - that dissect the modern world.

Efa Supertramp returns after seemingly playing every stage last year, to bring her Welsh folk-punk grrrl attitude, armed with an acoustic guitar & a powerful voice.

And we wrap the celebration with carnival party vibes with DJ Siânageddon delivering a set brimming with deep, latin & afro house, & breakbeat
