FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES

1. If you provide labour or services to Optimistic Trout Productions, for The Green Gathering festival, and do not charge a fee for doing so, you are a Volunteer.

2. The specifics of your volunteering will be agreed with your area or service Coordinator.

3. Volunteers are requested to abide by the following, designed to improve Health & Safety for us all:
● Regularly report to / liaise with, and be directed by, a relevant Coordinator.
● Be aware of and follow Green Gathering crew Terms, Conditions & Policies.
Attend briefings appropriate to roles and, to the best of your ability, arrive in good time to fulfill roles volunteered for.

4. Volunteers who fail to cooperate with a Coordinator, or who fail to follow GG Terms & Conditions, may be asked to leave a post, or to leave the event site.

5. Except in extreme cases (eg potential for major harm to GG event or people, or a serious criminal offence), there will be an opportunity to discuss and redress problems, before a volunteer is asked to leave a post or leave site.

6. Volunteers may express GG-related concerns or grievances to Coordinators. Any issues that remain unresolved may be brought to the attention of one or more of the festival’s Directors, who will endeavour to facilitate resolution. Please note that the festival cannot ensure participants’ satisfaction where T&Cs, Health & Safety guidance or GG Policies are not adhered to.

7. Care must be taken around data sharing and data protection:
● A record of contacts made on behalf of the festival will be made available to the festival's Directors where there is a legitimate administrative need. For example, GG festival Directors have legitimate need for access to information about ticket buyers; advertisers; stewards; volunteers; traders etc.
● Passwords used for GG business (eg social media) must be shared with at least one festival Director.
● Care should be taken not to disseminate Green Gathering information such as databases, email addresses or email content without authorisation from a GG festival Director.
