Anne-Marie Allen is a BBC Introducing singer-songwriter backed by a band whose unique musical style does not confine itself to one specific genre. Anne-Marie’s distinct vocal tone captivates audiences who enjoy Neo-soul, Blues, Psychedelic Punk, and Folk!

Anne-Marie Allen is an artist who performed at Green Gathering last year as a three piece acoustic act and is returning this year with her full band.

Anne-Marie's addictive hooks, melodies and original music make audiences want to dance and wake up the next day singing her songs! Anne-Marie’s lyrics are honest about the human condition, yet her music has an upbeat vibe that keeps audiences smiling.

Anne-Marie's songs tell stories of freedom, capitalism, and human connection, presenting a lucid lyrical landscape with percussive guitar and bass rhythms. Anne-Marie's debut EP "Intuition" was released back in May 2018, presenting a fresh new tone to the live music scene.

Her track “Zombie Paradise” was added to the Brum radio A list in April 2018 and was also selected to be played as part of the up and coming artists promotion for unsigned artists on Nova Radio station. Following the success of "Zombie Paradise" this track in addition to her track "Vibe Attracts a Tribe," was instantly selected by BBC Introducing and for two consecutive weeks on BBC radio West Midlands. Anne-Marie's third BBC radio play was the title track for her debut EP "Intuition" in which the BBC described the track as "Stunning...confident, and a lovely maturing sound that...takes you to another place."

Over the years Anne-Marie has collaborated with a wide range of artists, DJ's, producers, and MC'S, performing gigs in the UK and abroad across various venues in a professional capacity. Most notably, in 2019 Anne-Marie performed at Stratford River Festival 2019 on the main stage to over 70,000 visitors. Following that, in 2019 Anne-Marie was booked to play at a variety of well established underground music venues in the heart of Germany’s artistic quarter of  Neukölln, Berlin.

In 2019 Anne-Marie applied and succeeded in being the first artist to win the opportunity to perform in front of a specially selected audience of music fans for Songwall’s “Songs in the Sky” event,  at the top of the Iconic Grade II Rotunda Building looking down across the whole of Birmingham City.

Anne-Marie continued to make her mark on the international original music scene in 2020 when Songwall provided her with the opportunity to co-write and release her first international song ‘Light-Up'. The release date of January 20 was the exact anniversary of the first confirmed COVID19 case in Korea. Backed by the Korean Government, this project promoted collaboration for content creation between Korean and UK project partners. The song contains the meaning “Recovering the direction of life and self and overcoming them together in days when many things are being lost due to the sudden spread of Corona 19.”

Anne-Marie's latest 2022 song "Rest Your Mind" portrays a psychedelic tribal vibe, and was also played on BBC radio WM shortly after it was released. This track takes the audience on a journey which captures the contentedness of deep connection and insight when faced with an otherwise chaotic world.

Anne-Marie is currently performing her gigs with bass, guitar, drums, backing vocal, and herself on lead vocal.
