The Raconteurs’ Delight is a captivating venue, hosting spoken word and cabaret acts by night; family friendly entertainment early evening; performance and art based workshops by day; and not-to-be-missed lunchtime specials.
Poets, comedians, clowns, acrobats, magicians, storytellers and jazz musicians rub shoulders in the steampunk bar enjoying temperance drinks and kooky cocktails: this year we’ve teamed up with the award-winning Hedgerow Cordials who’ll be serving you in steampunk style with reuseable glasses and foraged flavours galore!
2019 went like this… Daytimes there’ll be performing arts workshops – Mal Webb‘s “lip to lung, global glottal adventure”, feminist folk songs, Extinction Rebellion Choir, flamenco, capoeira, swing dance and more.
Don’t miss our weekend Lunchtime Specials – Lunch Out with Nik Turner, our regular Poetry Slam and the shiny new Delightful Bar Quiz.
Early evenings there’ll be kids’ entertainment and family friendly shows including bubbles, magic and jugglers.
Later it’s time for the word conjurors, tale-spinners and comedians – from Welsh folk history with Gadael Tir to prize-winning poet, loop artist and comic Pete The Temp; sustainable nihilist Johnny Fluffypunk; roaring courageous hilarious wordsmith Salena Godden; incisive wit and welcome humour in these crisis times from FOSSILHEADS; performance poet Rich Butnotfamous (the One with the Hat); protest poet Roxconscious; and plenty more.
Intimate, solar-powered venues packed with legendary festival favourites, up-and-coming talent, solo artistes, punk bands, politically conscious singer-songwriters, protest bands, global grooves, psychedelic sounds, folk tunes, swing, dance, ska, reggae, rap, cabaret, comedy and poetry…
…The Green Gathering has it all.
